Bell Canada will have to pay up if they want to keep their assets on Six Nations. The telecom company’s agreement with Six Nations to allow the company to maintain phone lines and other assets on the territory expired in 1999, and since then the assets have remained active, but Six Nations has received nothing in return. The Six Nations Consultation and Accommodations Process (CAP) Team told Six Nations Elected Council (SNEC) Bell has “signalled a willingness” to renegotiate the terms of the contract at the Political Liaison meeting on November 28.
