‘We won’t stop’ Stanley Morris Peters Jr missing 37 years

Then 34 years old, Peters was believed to be hitchhiking back to D’Arcy at the time near the railroad tracks. It wasn’t until 1992 that Peters’ loved ones found out what happened him, when Pemberton RCMP launched a full-scale investigation into the case after receiving a tip. His parents were told by RCMP officers he was hit by a car in Mount Currie, hurled 15 metres through the air, and buried in a shallow grave. Where, they couldn’t say.
