Sept. 30 is Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation — a federal statutory holiday. It is meant to honour Indigenous children who never returned home from residential schools and survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. The last day of September is also Orange Shirt Day, an Indigenous-led movement started by Phyllis (Jack) Webstad to raise awareness of the inter-generational harms of residential schools while
