Toronto Maple Leafs alumni squad set to play in pair of Indigenous communities

By Sam Laskaris Writer A pair of Indigenous communities in northern Ontario will be hosting the Toronto Maple Leafs alumni team in games this weekend. The matches, supported by Indigenous Tourism Ontario (ITO), will be hosted by Wikwemkong Tourism and Taykwa Tagamou Nation. For starters, the Leafs’ alumni will be participating in a match with local players at the Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory arena dubbed the Thunderdome on Saturday. That match, hosted by Wikwemkong Tourism, will commence at 7 p.m. And then on Sunday the Leafs’ alumni will play a game hosted by Taykwa Tagamou Nation.
