Six Nations steps up to help community over holiday season

By Lisa Iesse Writer The giving kept on coming over the holiday season with the Grand River Development Corporation (SNGRDC) and two local businesses providing over $16,000 in donations and food to the Six Nations Food Bank. Along with donations from Grand River Enterprises ($15,000) Ohsweken Speedway ($10,000) and $16,300 from SNGRDC and its partners Route 54 and Kool Kidz Ice and Water over $41,300 was donated to the Six Nations Food Bank this holiday season. The SNGRDC oversees a number of community enterprises including Chiefswood Park, and Six Nations Bingo, A6N and others all joined forces to support the Six Nations Food Bank, the Iroquois Lodge, and Ogwadeni:deo.
