By Turtle Island News staff Six Nations internet market is heating up after a slump. Two large telecom companies have returned to the Six Nations market to vye for customers with Six Nations Cable. Bell Canada sent a representative to Six Nations Elected Council’s (SNEC) General Council meeting on January 24 to ask permission to solicit door to door on the territory offering wireless internet packages. Elected Chief Mark Hill was not present. Councillor Michelle Bomberry chaired the meeting and the motion to allow solicitation was deferred to allow the chief’s office to do some due diligence and to find out SNEC’s liability if something happens while sending representatives door-to-door.
