Turtle Island News would like to issue an apology to our online readers who were unable to  access our site Tuesday, Dec, 27, 2022 as the newspaper broke the story of an OPP officer being shot and a police manhunt  for armed suspects  was underway. Turtle Island News attempted to keep readers updated as the police investigation unfolded when the huge numbers of people hitting the website and Facebook page caused the site to go off line. Turtle Island News and our online provider are seeking a solution to the issue to ensure it does not happen again and our readers are kept up to date on unfolding emergency situations.
