By Bree Duwyn Writer Claudine VanEvery-Albert, Six Nations Trustee, said that it pleases her as an educator, a mother and a grandmother, that “things are really happening in Grand Erie.” The Grand Erie District School Board presented their annual Six Nations Education Service Agreement Report for the 2021-2022 year to Six Nations Elected Council in a general meeting on Tuesday (Oct. 11). Last year, GEDSB introduced a Multi-Year Strategic Plan for 2021-2026, with a goal to deepen their system commitment to reconciliation and improve education achievement outcomes for all First Nations, Metis, and Inuit students. The presentation focused on student success initiatives that were restarted to monitor student progress within the district.
