Six Nations Elected Council (SNEC) is having its trials and tribulations setting up its new governance system. They changed from a committee system that reported to council to no committees just council sessions The result has been council meetings are longer. Staff is confused as a study is underway to find any problems as the system rolls out. Without any doubt making changes to any governance system takes time, termerity and a lot of patience. For some reason the current council, now heading into its last year of a four year reign, decided they didn’t like the committee system and instead of improving it or as Councillor Helen Miller told them just fix it. They decided to dump it and go to an entirely new style of governing probably believing
