SIX NATIONS OF THE GRAND RIVER- The Deputy Minister of Indigenous Services Canada says his ministry is making additional mental health supports immediately available to the Six Nations community after learning a 58-year-old Six Nations’ resident is facing child pornography charges. Six Nations Police charged the local resident August 28th after launching a child pornography investigation with the assistance of OPP Digital Forensic Technicians here earlier this week. SNPS said as a result of the investigation, the 58-year-old, resident of Ohsweken was charged with child pornography. The accused has been held in custody and was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on August 28, 2024. Police are continuing their investigation, and further charges may be pending. Police said no further information would be released .
