By Lisa Iesse Writer BRANTFORD – It’s about “Resiliency, reclamation and resurgence.” It is about artists taking another step and the By Design: Fashionable Inspiration exhibit now on at the Woodland Cultural Centre is about more than fashion or visual art. Patricia Deadman, the curator behind the exhibit, says it’s transformation. “(By Design) is based upon the transformation that goes into traditional artistic practices. She said it’s the distinctive vision of six Indigenous artists and designers who are exploring the relationship between traditional forms and contemporary materials.
