(Police Submitted Photo) BRANTFORD, ONT- Brantford Police are getting help in fighting crime by adding new technology to  cruisers. Police vehicles will now carry automated Licence Plate Recognition and in-car camera systems that will be operational by the end of May. Brantford Police said the plate recognition technology  and cameras will  enable officers to identify licence plates and vehicles linked to traffic or criminal offences faster. It will also help with prohibited/suspended drivers, stolen vehicles and wanted or missing people investigations. The equipment is mounted on the front windshield.
