B.C. Mountie loses bid to stay obstruction of justice charge connected to 2017 death of First Nations man

Seen from a distance, a bearded, dark-haired man in a suit looks down as he walks down a ramp from the Prince George courthouse, where he is on trial for obstruction of justice.

Prince George RCMP Const. Arthur Dalman sought to have his charge stayed, citing his right to a trial within a reasonable time. He is convicted of obstruction of justice in connection with the 2017 arrest of Indigenous man Dale Culver, who later died in custody.
