New Service Excellence director is another step in building Six Nations Elected Council into a government

By Lynda Powless Writer Six Nations Elected Council now has a Director of Service Excellence. Holly Smith was hired in early January and introduced to Six Nations Elected Council (SNEC) at the General Council meeting on January 24. The hiring is part of SNEC’s CEO Darren Jamieson’s plan to move SNEC from a delivery agent to a government. Jamieson joined the SNEC administration in 2020 and has been working on a reorganization of the administration and council for almost four years. During that time he has created some new positions and has, himself, gone from Senior Administrative Officer (SAO) to the new title of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). SNEC has not answered Turtle Island News questions on why the change was made or what the new role now entails. A new
