‘It brings tears to my eyes’: Sturgeon Lake First Nation opens traditional birthing lodge

It was an emotional day for Sturgeon Lake members Wednesday as they celebrated the grand opening of Saskatchewan's first Indigenous-led birthing lodge on a First Nation. Until now, expectant mothers from Sturgeon Lake First Nation have had to travel to Prince Albert or Saskatoon to give birth.
