Four Ohsweken people face drug and firearm charges

Six Nations Police arrested four people during a drugs and substances search near I.L Thomas School on Wednesday (Oct. 5). When police arrived to a residence on Cayuga Road, they executed a Section 11 Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant. At the scene, police discovered a loaded firearm inside a trailer, a woman and a combative man who were actively resisting arrest, according to a media release issued on Thursday, Oct. 6. Police then located another man and woman, discovering an additional firearm at the residence. During the search, police seized two firearms, a crossbow, ammunition, body armour, cocaine, methamphetamine, currency, cell phones, a digital scale, and stolen property. The following were arrested and face charges: Brett Elgin Elliott Sr., 53-years-old of Ohsweken, was charged with: CDSA 5(2) Possession
