The Mamu Nikantetau Expedition, an annual 10-day, 350-kilometre canoe/walking trek between Ottawa and Montreal, is designed to foster reconciliation and reconnection among elders and youth of several First Nations. This year, a near disaster brought a new sense of connection to the participants.
